Ann W. Voss, OD, FCOVD
Founder and Director of Bellaire Family Eye Care, Vision Learning Center & NeuroSensory Center of Bellaire
Dr. Ann Voss is the Founder and Director of Bellaire Family Eye Care, NeuroSensory Center of Bellaire and the Vision Learning Centers. Her daily commitment to serving her patients with quality eye care, innovative solutions, and a caring attitude distinguishes her in the eye care community. Her passion is helping people of all ages find the best visual solutions possible to address their vision and eye health needs.
As an expert in the area of vision and learning, Dr. Voss provides educational and training programs to educators, parents, and healthcare groups. Her programs help healthcare providers and teachers recognize vision problems that impact successful learning. She also consults with textbook publishers regarding graphics, fonts, and colors that impact ease of reading and learning of text through the visual system. She works closely with other health professionals, including ophthalmologists, pediatricians, speech and language specialists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and psychologists, to provide the best all around care for patients needing diverse services.
Dr. Voss and her family live in Bellaire. She and her husband Eric married in 1989 and have two beautiful children, Gracie and Ben.

Marcia Moore, OD
Clinical Associate of Bellaire Family Eye Care, Vision Learning Center of Bellaire & NeuroSensory Center of Bellaire
Dr. Moore graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, as a member of Phi Beta Kappa honors society, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology with High Honors. Dr. Moore has experience in the diagnosis and management of corneal and retinal eye diseases, including dry eyes, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Moore has a passion for vision therapy and has been through extensive training in this area. She is very compassionate, knowledgeable and enjoys helping her patients of all ages maximize their visual skills.
Dr. Moore and her husband Brian, are proud Houstonians. They both enjoy any activity that gets them outside, including gardening around their new home and playing with their dog, Chip. Dr. Moore is expecting her first child just in time for Christmas, 2009.

Neuro-Visual Therapist, Vision Learning Center of Champions
Natesha has been a diligent member of the Vision Learning Center of Champions team since May 2010. Her prior work history stems from 9 years in the early childhood field. Before employment with the VLC, Natesha served as an education coordinator for a quality early childhood facility. She attended Sam Houston State University where she underwent extensive studies in early child development and education. Her philosophy is simple,"Invest now....benefit later! I have a strong conviction that quality early education and a strong family support system pay off in a myriad of benefits to children, their families and society as a whole!!!" Natesha strives daily to aid in strengthening and encouraging patients to reach their individual goals in and out of the therapy room. Natesha is a resident of the Spring-Woodlands area. She enjoys dancing and outdoor activities, but her favorite past time is spending time with her beautiful and witty daughter Kennedi and her ever supportive fiance' Christopher.

Jose Martinez, OVT
Vision Therapist, Vision Learning Center of Bellaire & Champions
Jose joined our team in September 2003 as a vision therapist and elementary math specialist. As a former Special Education Teacher, Administrator and Military Veteran he is exceptionally organized and disciplined and possesses well developed interpersonal skills which helps him to work with students of all ages as well as the ability to motivate and direct others in a supportive, cooperative team environment. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as all outdoor activities, technology, traveling, music, playing his guitars and Aggie Football.

Robert Nurisio, COVT
Vision Therapy Manager, Vision Learning Center of Bellaire
Robert began his career in the healthcare industry as an EMT/Paramedic in California in 1995 and worked in this profession throughout California until 2002. During that time, Robert played golf semi-professionally. Robert’s career as a vision therapist began in San Carlos, CA in 1999 after he was a patient there for sports vision enhancement training in golf. He has since obtained his Certification in Vision Therapy and is an active member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD). Robert has learned all facets of the optometric industry and has been trained as an optician, optometric assistant, insurance biller and front desk administrator. He feels that the more you know, the more effective you can be at helping patients. Robert spent a 2 year term as the President of Parent’s Active for Vision Education (PAVE©), a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise public awareness about the importance of vision and its affect on learning, and is currently on the COVD Mentor Committee to facilitate other vision therapists studying to earn their certification. Robert has been in a managerial role since 2003 and joined the Vision Learning Center of Bellaire in 2008.
Robert moved to Spring, Texas in 2007 with his wife, Dr. Mary McMains, and two children, Morgan and Ronin.

Joseph Wakeland, OVT
Vision Therapist, Vision Learning Center of Bellaire & Champions, Certified NeuroSensory Technician, NeuroSensory Center of Bellaire
Joseph has been a member of the Vision Learning Center of Bellaire team since 2006 and a member of the NeuroSensory of Bellaire team since its founding in December of 2007.
Joseph has been working with special needs children since the age of 15. Currently, he is pursuing a degree in biology. He has been a certified neurosensory technician since 2007 and currently working to become a certified vision therapist in 2010.
